Demon Slayer has returned to the Top 3 leaving One Piece behind while Jujutsu Kaisen remains the Most Popular Manga Series of 2022.
Jujutsu Kaisen has gotten an exciting boost in the sales of its backlogs ever since the release of the prequel movie, Jujutsu Kaisen 0, which has helped the series in continuing its incredibly consistent run from 2021.
And just as this incredible start of the year finally looks to have settled down for Jujutsu Kaisen, the manga series will be releasing its next tankobon volume next month, which is sure to add a couple more million copies in sales to the more than 6.5 million copies it has already sold within the first four months of the fiscal year of 2022.
Needless to say, Jujutsu Kaisen remains the Most Popular Ongoing Manga Series in Japan.
Jujutsu Kaisen Volume 18, which was released in December 2021 is the only volume released from the series so far this year and is currently the Best Selling Manga Volume for the fiscal year of 2022 with more than 1.875 million copies sold.
The series also saw a huge 288% boost in the sales of its backlogs within the first week of the release of the prequel anime movie. The movie has been a huge success and is already the 20th Highest Grossing Japanese Movie Ever at the Domestic Box Office making over 13 Billion Yen.
The film is now out in North America where it made $17.69 million in its first weekend, which is the second-biggest debut for an anime film in the American Box Office ever only behind Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba: Mugen Train. Additionally, the film has made $1.08 million in the UK and $2.2 million in France with its release last week.
Jujutsu Kaisen has also officially confirmed that the Second Season of the anime is in production at MAPPA and is scheduled to come out in 2023.

Tokyo Revengers had been seeing a steady decline ever since the anime aired its last episode in September but with the release of Volume 25 of the series in Mid-December, which has sold over 1.04 million copies as of March 6, even the backlogs have gotten yet another significant boost.
The manga series sold 1.411 million copies during February which is on par with the previous month and has sold 550,000 copies in March as of Sunday, March 20th.
