Most Popular Superhero TV Show of 2022: The Boys Season 3

Ever since the premiere of the show in 2019, The Boys has offered a truly refreshing and nuanced take on the genre, which with every next season has only gotten more and more wicked and enjoyable.

It’s a superhero show with a fascinating and realistic switch of perspective. It is rowdy and way more bloodier and action-packed than your average MCU TV show but is also emotionally resounding. The Boys has been the Best Superhero TV Show in recent memory while also being a phenomenal satire mirroring the reality of our world.

It’s very little surprise that the show has hit the level of popularity that it has now, considering it is very worthy and deserving of it.

The addition of Jensen Ackles and his Soldier Boy takes things to the next level in the latest season of the show, dialling everything up a notch. The Boys was already phenomenal, but Season 3 is the standout outing of the show, making it One of the Best and Must-Watch pieces of television to have come out all year long.

2. The Umbrella Academy

The Umbrella Academy returned with its third season in June and managed to be consistent like its’s previous season despite Stranger Things and The Boys being the centre of hype everywhere.

The latest season was viewed for over 280 million hours during the first four weeks of its release on Netflix, and the show is the Second Most Popular Superhero TV Show of the Year right now, according to Google.

The Umbrella Academy is also the only TV Show apart from The Boys on this list that is not associated with either DC or Marvel. The series has been renewed for a fourth and final season.

She-Hulk is the Most Popular TV Show of Marvel.

3. She-Hulk: Attorney at Law

Most Popular Superhero TV Show of 2022: She-Hulk

She-Hulk has become the Second Lowest-Rated TV Show (Only behind Inhumans) from the Marvel Cinematic Universe on IMDb, with an aggregate score of 5 out of 10, and also has a terrible audience score on Rotten Tomatoes despite its good critics’ aggregate.

But contrasting to all of that, the series starring Tatiana Maslany has been the Most Popular Marvel Series of the year so far, according to Google Trends. The Lawyer-Superhero drama might not be generating as much of a buzz as some of the more popular Marvel shows, but the show has certainly found a decent amount of fan-following during its run so far.

4. Ms. Marvel

Many people enjoy the MCU’s lighthearted aspect, and Ms Marvel puts a quirky and enjoyable spin of a coming-of-age story in that particular formula of the MCU, which is boasted by a charming and loveable lead performance from Iman Vellani.

While the series premiered with a viewership of 775,000 in the United States, according to Samba TV, pulling in a significantly lower figure than its predecessors, the show has garnered a great amount of global popularity, especially in South Asia.

5. The Sandman

Neil Gaiman and DC’s The Sandman, which spent three weeks as the Top Most-Watched TV Show on Netflix, has taken the fifth spot on the list.

The utterly ambitious show, which had a reported budget of $15 million per episode, was watched a whooping 365 million hours in its first four weeks of release.

The series stars Tom Sturridge in the titular role and follows the journey of The Sandman, aka Dream, the cosmic being who controls all dreams.

The Flash still remains immensely popular after eight seasons.

Most Popular Superhero TV Show of 2022: The Flash Season 8

  1. Annoyed With Lazy Writing

Wow, you can see the bias of this author pretty clearly. Going on and on about the content of the boys, and then almost nothing about the rest. We get it. You love The Boys because it’s ultra violent and the antithesis of marvel!

  2. That scene where homelander imagines killing the crowd with his laser eyes is still my fav scene of this show
