Lucifer is based on the DC Comics of the same name with the characters created by Neil Gaiman (who has another new show based on the Sandman coming to Netflix soon enough), Sam Kieth, and Mike Dringenberg. Lucifer follows the titular character, the original fallen angel, who has become very dissatisfied with his life living in a literal hell. While meeting with a Detective in his nightclub (Lux), a shootout involving him and the Detective leads him to become an LAPD consultant who tries to punish people for their crimes through law and justice.
The first five seasons of Lucifer are currently streaming on Netflix.
