Fox News host Jesse Watters raised eyebrows Monday night after sharing a bizarre take on actress Sydney Sweeney’s future — suggesting she should marry Barron Trump to create “the greatest political dynasty in American history.”
Watters made the comment during a segment on The Five, where he once again defended the Euphoria star’s controversial American Eagle ad. The campaign, featuring slogans like “Sydney Sweeney has great jeans” and “My genes are blue,” has been slammed by some as evoking white nationalist imagery — while others on the political right have rushed to praise it.
Sweeney has quickly become a darling of conservative media, earning support from figures like Senator Ted Cruz and Vice President JD Vance. Even President Trump has chimed in, calling her ad “fantastic” after learning she’s a registered Republican. He later posted on Truth Social that Sweeney’s ad was the “HOTTEST” and praised the jeans for “flying off the shelves.”
Watters, who previously ran a segment praising Sweeney’s sex appeal on his solo show, dismissed the backlash as another culture war loss for the left.
“Every girl wants to look like her, and every guy wants to look at her,” Watters said. “And the Democrats think, wait a second, why don’t we call her a Nazi and boycott the company?”
