Bad Bunny’s ‘DtMF’ Beats Taylor Swift’s ‘Opalite’ to Take No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100

Bad Bunny has scored his second Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 — and his first as a solo artist — as “DtMF” goes from No. 10 to the top spot following his blockbuster Super Bowl LX halftime performance.

The Spanish anthem, which was the biggest hit of the singer’s latest album, closed his Feb. 8 halftime set in Santa Clara, California. “DtMF” previously peaked at No. 2 in January 2025.

The song marks Bad Bunny’s second career Hot 100 leader. His first came in July 2018 as a featured artist on Cardi B’s “I Like It,” alongside J Balvin. Notably, both of his No. 1 hits have now been performed during Super Bowl halftime shows (he joined Shakira onstage for “I Like It” during Super Bowl LIV in 2020).

The Super Bowl effect was immediately visible across the board for Bad Bunny. “DtMF” pulled in 43 million official U.S. streams during the Feb. 6–12 tracking week, an 85% increase week over week. It also drew 5.3 million in radio airplay audience impressions (up 56%) and sold 12,000 downloads (up 262%).

The 43 million streaming figure is the highest weekly total for any song so far in 2026. It also marks the biggest streaming week this decade for a song not primarily in English, surpassing the previous benchmark set by Eslabón Armado and Peso Pluma’s “Ella Baila Sola” in 2023.

The track climbs to No. 1 on the Streaming Songs chart for a third week overall and jumps to a new peak of No. 2 on Digital Song Sales.

Bad Bunny’s DtMF is Only the 4th Spanish-Language No. 1

“DtMF” becomes just the fourth all- or mostly-Spanish-language song ever to top the Hot 100 since the chart began in 1958 — and the first by a solo artist without any featured acts.

The exclusive list now includes:

  • “DtMF” – Bad Bunny (2026)
  • “Despacito” – Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee feat. Justin Bieber (2017)
  • “Macarena (Bayside Boys Mix)” – Los Del Rio (1996)
  • “La Bamba” – Los Lobos (1987)

Bad Bunny Currently Has Four Songs in the Top 10

Bad Bunny’s chart dominance doesn’t just stop at DtMF. The Puerto Rican is currently dominating the Billboard Hot 100 with four songs in the Top 10, all of which he performed during the halftime show:

  • “DtMF” (10–1): 43M streams (+85%) / 5.3M airplay (+56%) / 12K sales (+262%)
  • “Baile Inolvidable” (19–2): 28.8M streams (+141%) / 4.3M airplay (+2%) / 4K sales (+231%)
  • “Nuevayol” (28–5): 24.4M streams (+165%) / 3.1M airplay (+19%) / 5K sales (+238%)
  • “Tití Me Preguntó” (No. 7 reentry): 22.6M streams (+334%) / 1.8M airplay (+71%) / 10K sales (+734%)

The Singer’s Continued Latin Chart Dominance

Beyond the Hot 100, “DtMF” extends its run atop the Hot Latin Songs chart to 47 weeks — one of Bad Bunny’s 17 leaders on that list. Only “Despacito,” with 56 weeks at No. 1, has logged a longer reign since the chart launched in 1986.

Taylor Swift’s Opalite is Only at No.8 Despite Exclusive Vinyl and Music Video on Digital Platforms

Taylor Swift recently debuted the self-directed music video for her new single “Opalite,” which premiered exclusively on Spotify and Apple Music, with YouTube viewers forced to wait two days. For most artists, that would be counterintuitive. YouTube is still the primary global destination for music videos. But for Swift, this wasn’t about convenience; it was all about charts.

Just a couple of months ago, YouTube announced it would pull its streaming data from Billboard’s chart formulas after changes to how paid and free streams were weighted. That means YouTube views now no longer meaningfully boost a song’s position on the Billboard Hot 100.

Swift seems to have adjusted accordingly, directing her fans toward Spotify and Apple Music — platforms whose streams still directly impact Billboard rankings — ensuring that every single stream contributes to “Opalite’s” charts performance.

A seven-inch vinyl single in “pearlescent blue,” only available in Swift’s online store for 48 hours, was also released alongside it to create urgency and incentivize superfans to double-dip. However, the song only just managed to break into Top 10, and is currently at the 8th spot.

The Rest of the Top 10

Elsewhere on the chart:

  • Olivia Dean’s “Man I Need” slips to No. 3 while adding a third week atop Radio Songs.
  • Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” drops to No. 4 after previously hitting No. 1.
  • Alex Warren’s “Ordinary” falls to No. 6 after a 10-week reign.
  • HUNTR/X’s “Golden” and Bruno Mars’ “I Just Might” round out the top 10.
