Both Spy x Family and Chainsaw Man have been incredibly popular all over the globe. But which of these two is the Most Popular New Anime of 2022?
In Japan, SPY x FAMILY is the Second Most Popular Anime of 2022, only behind Demon Slayer Season 2. And it is way ahead of Chainsaw Man.

The return of SPY x FAMILY in October recorded over 9.9 million viewers on Japanese TV. Meanwhile, Chainsaw Man is not even scoring close to half of its viewership on TV.

SPY x FAMILY is also the Most-Watched TV Show on Streaming in Japan and has maintained its first spot every week since its return.

Chainsaw Man has also been doing incredibly well in streaming domestically and is the Second Most-Watched TV Show on Streaming in Japan.

However, across Asia, SPY x FAMILY has been viewed over an insane 700 million times, and that's just from the services where streaming data are public.

The 700 million views do not even take Netflix data into account. SPY x FAMILY has over 140 million views on just Bilibili Southeast Asia.

Meanwhile, Chainsaw Man has been the Most Popular New Anime of 2022 on Social Media, and the internet and its hype is immense, especially in the USA.

But it does not have the universal appeal and family-friendly nature of SPY x FAMILY. There is no data backing up that Chainsaw Man compares to SPY x FAMILY's viewership.
